China sends Taiwan cuddly pandas - Tuan Tuan and Yuan Yuan

It was a historic event today, as China sent Taiwan two pandas in a goodwill gesture. An event three years in the making, Tuan-Tuan and Yuan-Yuan (the names together mean "unite") arrived to their new home today. Check out their cuteness in this video.

I bought this for the panda of course, and taste-wise expected it to be like a fruit rollup, but its actually one solid piece. When you chew into it the inside is a nutty, cookie color and tastes more like an energy bar than junk food. It satisfied my sweet tooth but for a treat I would rather go all the way and have something more indulgent.

Pandas consume between 20-40 pounds of bamboo a day.

Their digestive tract absorbs only about 20% of the nutrients, so they must eat large amounts of bamboo to meet their energy and nutrient needs.

I've always had a penchant for pandas since they are black and white and resemble my beloved. Tell me this video doesn't make you want to take one home. Make sure you have your volume on to hear their lovely voices :)
